As a supporter of female representation in the private markets, Kristine is the founder of Women in Private Capital Canada – an organisation focused on connecting and supporting the career development of women in the country’s private capital ecosystem. Patrick Madaus

Patrick joined Pomona Capital in 2011 and focuses on secondary investment analysis and deal sourcing. He also helps lead Pomona’s primary investment program, with 19 years of PE experience. Prior to Pomona, Patrick was a senior research associate at Cambridge Associates. In 2020, he was included in Secondaries Investor’s Next Generation of Leaders, a ranking of the top 20 brightest young minds in the secondaries universe. Patrick received a BS from Boston College and is a CFA ® charterholder.

Ian Gillespie

Ian Gillespie joined Dawson in 2020 and has over 10 years of private equity, M&A and accounting experience. Prior to joining Dawson, Ian worked as a Senior Principal within the Direct Private Equity group at BCI. At BCI, Ian was primarily responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring direct private equity transactions. Prior to BCI, Ian worked at OPTrust in London, UK within the Private Markets Group (“PMG”) where he was responsible for sourcing, executing and monitoring primary fund investments through to fully direct private equity and infrastructure transactions across Europe. While at OPTrust, Ian represented the pension fund on several limited partner advisory boards in addition to his direct portfolio company board responsibilities. Prior to joining OPTrust, Ian worked at Morgan Stanley in the firm’s London and Frankfurt offices in the Financial Institutions Group, CEO Office and UK M&A team. Ian holds a Master of Science in Management (Finance) degree from the University of Mannheim, a Master of International Business degree from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University.

Prior to joining Northleaf in 2010, Matthew was a consultant with Monitor Group where he worked on various acquisition, due diligence, growth strategy and post-merger integration projects for clients in a range of industries, including media, retail and business outsourcing. Matthew received an H.B.A. (Business) with distinction from the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario.
